throttle cable adj.

Is the only adjustment for the throttle cable the throttle rod? I have a lot of slack in my throttle cable and don't see anyway to adjust this out, the only adjustment I see is on the throttle rod, I need to do some adjusting because I have to mash the throttle pedal really hard and push on the top of the pedal to get full throttle. The throttle pedal seems like it should have more travel than what it's got.
