lost plate

I was woundering what would happen if you were to just remove the fueling plate and run without one. Anybody done it? How was smoke, power, egt? Any chance of damage to the engine?

98 3500 quad cab, 12 v, 5 speed, 4wd, tst #11 plate full forward, 3kgsk, kdp jigged, SBC 13 inch Con ofe isspro pyro and boost.
