T/C Lockup Solenoid

Ok, I never even knew such a thing existed. I cant get my t/c to lockup. (see 911 thread) Did a search for soleniod and got all fuel related stuff. Did a search for lockup solenoid and no help either.
Can anyone fill me in? Do I need to see a tranny guy or is this a fairly easy part change? I'm out of options and I need to be ready to go to Talladega by April 3
