Angry Fuel leak worthy of a recall. Grrrrrr

After much dreading, today I finally tackled my mystery fuel leak. I knew pretty much were it was, but didn't know how/why it was leaking. I lowered the tank and started the truck to see where fuel was coming from. It was quite obvious! Given a clear shot, I would've had a pulsing fuel stream go about 7 feet! The plastic tubing that goes from the tank to the steel lines had a hole rubbed in it. Dodge was nice enough to put a plastic shield on the frame, but that didn't do much to stop this from happening. The plastic shield also shows that Dodge knows of this design flaw and searching the internet reveals I'm not the only one this has happened to. Considering the nature of the problem, anyone know why D-C hasn't issued a recall to fix this problem?

It's fixed now, used rubber fuel tubing and *shock* the truck starts on the first rev now.

Anyway, my main reason for posting this is to find out how many other people have experienced this and if anyone happens to know what we can do to get closer to triggering a recall. Anyone in particular to contact at D-C? Diesel fuel isn't all that volatile, but I'd hate to see the rare case of this leak causing a fire that totals a perfectly good truck because D-C hasn't bothered to address this problem. There's not even a TSB for it.
