Sliding the plate forward

I slid my stock plate forward after first scribing some lines in the original location. Now I'm wondering how much it can be slid forward. Are we talking as far as the slots will allow. I only moved it a little bit and wow it's got more power.
I'm watching the pyrometer closer now and the boost comes on alot faster.
