Kdp
If Anyone is contemplating doing the KDP I would strongly suggest that you do the TST repair instead of the Jig method. 1- If you do the jig repair you will probably have to remove the timing cover anyway to drive the dowel pin back into the block, so do one step instead of two. My son and I did my 96,12V and his 99,24V. The 96 dowel pin was out flush with timing case, did tab TST repair and put everything back together and started on his 99. On his we found that the KDP had moved out about 1/16" past the back of the timing case toward the gears,so he drove it back in and did the tab repair. I would strongly suggest to all you procrastinators to do the repair $50.00 is alot cheaper then $1000.00+. The thaught of doing the job is worse then doing it.
