Tranny Temp Probe ?

My tranny cooler line split again for the second time in two years. I had already purchased replacement lines, incase it ever happened again. Anyway, I removed the old lines and threw them away. Didn't get around to working on the truck for over a week. Now I can't remember which line had the temp probe in it. Was it the line with the short piece of rubber hose? Or the other one. Also, I have the Jarrety in-line temp probe, where is the best location for this? Never liked the original location.
