Bosch injector pump endplay question
Just had the pump on my 93 dodge cummins rebuilt and on installaton was doing some checking. The pump has .015 inch endplay not turning, and when rolling the engine over,the shaft and pump gear move in and out about .025 inch at around each cylinder pulse. Is this normal ? Some of you may remember, I have had 3 thrust bearing failures in this truck, and am just taking some extra precautionary checks to hopefully keep this from happening again. Any input on this?
