I have a '97 4x4 Ram - 12 valve, 5 speed, and have noticed a recent reduction in power, especially when towing boat with camper. Have 112,000 miles on engine, that has only been equipped with new fuel stop plate - enhanced to limited amount of black smoke, K&N air filter in stock box, stock exhaust, no muffler (I was thinking of increasing exhaust size and adding gauges i.e.turbo press gauge & pyro). my question is - can anyone recommend the probable means whereby I can increase this engine's performance, in order of effectiveness.
