Since the "Building a Better BHAF" thread, I bought one of them Amsoil filters and made a heat shield and have had great results so far. Lowered EGTs by about 100* and the turbo seems to build boost a bit faster, also really screams now
The shield is stainless steel with a rolled ring to hold the filter from touching anything. Its pretty sturdy. Anyone be interested in something like this?
Oh- the filter doesnt have the waves in it like this one, Josh sat on that one
And the heat shield will be new stainless, this one is a mockup.
