I had to tow my best friends 12v that dropped a dowel pin and spit it out the timing cover. I towed it about a 100 miles to a dealer I know well. Leaving his house it was snow in the driveway, followed by ice on the road (I left the trailer brakes unhooked until off the ice), then clear road. It was by far the heaviest/most drag that I've pulled down the freeway yet. Pulling on the flats at 70 mph I was pulling 22 psi of boost and running at 1050 EGT. I'd hit at high as 33 under acceleration and never went over 1150. With the trailer brakes and the exhaust brake stopping was no problem at all (I hardly used the trucks brakes). The only thing I don't think would hold up over time hauling like that would be the body - under acceleration you could hear the body vibrating (760 ft/lbs of cummins power)!
I might add that the load was completely within weight - just a lot of drag to go with it. Probably not much worse than what some 5'ers are like!!
