Ryan...
That shot is one of the underhood shots of my truck.I have someone who found them for me as a way to vent the motor better as I didn't want to drill and install breather like others have done.I wanted something different and he found that for me.They have been on the truck since early Spring and have done a nice job. Before installing them I seen some issues with crankcase pressures due to higher boost levels from the larger turbo. The original crankcase vent would do its job and oil the underside of the truck(making cleanup a chore) and at times pressure would pass through various seal areas and act like they had failed. After changing out three front crank seals I felt something was a miss and headed for my cylinder head man for a refresher course on pressure items. The front seals were not failed and no marks were on the crank which indicated that a sleeve was needed.

He suggested to me to vent the motor better and when I did the problems went away. The pressure was also showing or should I say exposing the failed oil pan gasket the worst. The pan gasket had been on since the truck was built way back in 97 and it had hardened and cracked allowing for minor leaks anyway.By me having the headwork done and installing the larger charger it allowed the pressure to escape from the first weakest link, the oil pan gasket.Once the breather covers were installed it slowed the pan gasket leak down to normal and allowed me to nurse it until vacation time for EEP to fix it and install the chromed oil pan I had done.

You can not get three of the covers on a B motor in a Ram due to the cowl being to close to the motor.IF the truck was body lifted you could but otherwise two is all you can install. The covers allow the oil to drain back into the motor and the oil vapors to pass out of the motor.I have ran the vent tubs down below the truck outside the frame.

Good luck getting them as there seems to be a rush on them.I have some on order and they have been backordered for about 6 weeks now.The first two sets have come in,minus the tops and gaskets and the others are all still B/O.Heck I would be happy just to get the parts to finish the ones I have now in,LOL.......Andy
