sorry, I've been offshore...

Not a big deal,we all here understand working for a living...

anyhow, with that setup you can only vent two valve covers... you're breathing through a couple pushrod holes with pushrods in them. not sure what the flow rating on those breathers are, but you can only breathe so much through the holes in the head. haven't looked under the valve covers in a minute, not sure if there are other drain backs.

Actually, you are partly correct with some of this.
IF you utilize only one cover then, yes, you are correct in saying that you are only venting in 2 covers. However,no matter if you use these covers or your "chromies" you still are using the same holes inside to vent the extra pressure.Another added benefit is the ability to separate the oil and vapors and make sure the oil stays inside where it belongs and the oil vapors pass out, something your chromies will not do.I have even seen your patented "chromies" be pushed off motors completely in both gas and diesel applications.

anyhow, with the chromies, you can run four breathers... one of the OEM valve covers and breather setups costs $100, right? and you can only breathe as much as the holes in the cyl head will allow. I bought four chromies w/ gromets for right ~$40... four times the holes in the head = four times the flow. roughly

Ok,you can use 4 chromies for relieving 4 times the pressure but your relieving the same pressure we are with the covers and from the same holes. You are sticking them into a factory Cummins valve cover correct?.So then why would your pressure be vented any different than ours?.On my 12v I use two of these cover setups and vent 4 cylinders as you do,except I have no issues with oil passing by the foam breathers thus no mess ever to clean up.yes,I will give you my expense at around $200 was more than your $40,but,as for efficency they are the same but with the way my truck is kept detailed I will say I am glad I opted for the covers.Nice clean install, removed my pressure issues and its nice to have nothing to clean up underneath the truck.........Andy
P.S...
If your wondering why I spent the cash and did these covers,,,,Ask My Pal Michael about my truck and the under-hood.He has seen it many times and I know he will vouch for how meticulous I am and I hate extra clean up work.
