Screaming noise heard on turbos
When I am accelerating from a near dead stop and only when accelerating fairly hard, I hear a screaming noise coming from my turbos, and I believe I found the culprit.
My top turbo (ps62) on the propeller shaft has visible play side to side, none however back and forth.
What does this indicate the problem is? Worn turbo bearings? Is it something that might be fixable by the average gear head? (aka myself?) or should I get a professional? or could that not be the problem? I'm prettu sure that is the problem. I have not checked the bottom (k31) turbo yet.
How does something like this happen?
