i bought the 02 2500 ho 6spd today. woke up at 5am and drove 4 hrs and it was worth it (i hope), however auto trader goofed the price and they were asking 18800!
it is a one owner truck and in great shape. just needs ball joints and some other minor front work as far as i can tell. also change brake fluid and clutch fluid. ALSO- when i got home today from the 230 mile trip, i took it to my mechanic buddy to celebrate and scrutinize. the dealer (chevy) had done some minor service prior to sale (oil change, air filter, new serpentine belt, and i think a coolant change). so we notice there is the green coolant in the radiator and my buddy says this is the wrong kind, so i rush to shucks and buy 4 gal of murrays and we flush it. we did the right thing, right? sorry this is getting long, but i'm so darned excited
, and nervous about this whole truck. it is the biggest purchase i've ever made. i have a ton of questions of course but i'll end with this one for now. is it ok to start from a dead stop in 2nd? 1st is SO low it seems pointless in normal city driving. it launches very easily from 2nd.
