Thanks for the reply, but I still don't see how it would make a difference. The turbos are fixed vane, but they do have a sliding gate (Holset calls it a nozzle ring). What I don't understand is how the soot that has been re-burned because of the EGR system is going to plug the sliding gate up any worse than the soot already coming out of the exhaust manifold?
