Govenor adjustment?

I have just purchased the 190 injectors from PDR, I have 16cm housing, 3.5" exhaust and K&N filter, Auto trans with DTT convertor and shift kit. My question is I want to change the govenor setting as when I accelerate hard the govenor cuts back before the truck shift especially from 3-4, I have replaced and adjusted TPS. Do I just adjust govenor set screw or install 3000 rpm spring? which is better? Thanks
