205 transfer case woes
hey folks,
i'm fairly new to the tdr. i have learned tons by reading threads, and now it's my turn to ask questions!
here's the story...
after a little four wheeling, i come to a stop with the engine running. sitting on a flat surface with the foot brake on, i place the tranny (automatic) in neutral. i shift the transfer case from 4H to 2H, and it slips beyond 2H into neutral. so, i go to shift back into to 2H and the t-case grinds  . i decide to put the tranny in park before attempting anything else and it grinds, too  !
next, i shut the engine down, place the tranny in park and the transfer case in 2H. no problem.
any ideas?  the transmission and transfer case have created no other problems other than when i want to get out of 4H.
