Stock tranny temp sender thread?

Just wondering if anyone knew what the thread was on the stock tranny temp sender? The one in the cooler lines that the PCM uses. I am most likely going to install the isspro sender in that spot and wire the stock one up and out of the way, others have said they did this. (doesn't aluminum melt around 280?

) It looks to be finer than the pipe thread bushing that came with my sending unit, but since I hate ATF I don't want to pull it out to confirm.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
