Ram vs buck- it was a draw

I will post a pic once I get it from the camera to the computer (i.e. when Mom gets back). As I was driving to work Friday morning, little before 7:30, sun had been up almost an hour, I had a deer jump into the driver's door of my pickup. I saw a flash of tan, then I heard a loud THUNK, and glass sprayed all over the cab. I stopped, got out, fully intending to vent some of my frustration on the crippled animal (officially, put it out of its misery) but the b*stard was GONE!!! Nowhere to be seen. It was open fields for at least a 1/4mi, save the tree line he/she was hiding in when I came along, and I saw nothing. Fortunatley, it was about 55deg, and I'd had the window rolled up, or it may have gotten real wild and western in the cab. Mirrors on the thing are tough- just knocked it aroudn and broke out the glass; frame is still as god as it was before. I had my arm on the arm rest, and the impact kind of jammed it up into my shoulder; got that taken care of after work, though

The day went downhilll from there. Friday the 13th was 4weeks late for me.
