Wifes PowerStroke Excursion Kicks tail on my 1st Gen CTD

My wife has always wanted to ditch the mini van and get a Suburban, but I thought diesel power was the way to go so I got her an 02 Excursion with a PowerStroke.
I hate to say it, but that thing seems like it has twice the power of my old Dodge. We towed the camper with it, no matter how steep the grade at 75+ there was still alot more in it. I want my Dodge to run like that!

What should I do? I have my new DTT converter, but its not in yet. I think that should help some.
