Getrag help

I am trying to find out where would be the best place to buy either a used or rebuilt Getrag for a 1990 4x4 5 speed. It so happens that my old truck I sold this past spring had the tranny gone out of it yesterday. The guy I sold it to is a friend of mine and I am trying to help him out. Are there any of these left to buy by different people/businesses or are these getting obsolete? Do they make rebuild kits for these and are they any good if they do? If someone might know where to check to buy these please post or send me a PM or e-mail. Thanks
