VE pump leak.

Developed a leak on the screw that is on the front of the pump under the small metal line running from the KSB solinoid body to the regulating body. It's not really shown on any of the literature but has a metal seal and covers a port running into the governor housing? Managed to get a wrench onto it and turned it a fraction but still leaks. Now looks like I have to pull the injection pump and wondering IF anyone knows IF I can get by with sliding it back an inch to pull the bolt and leave the injector lines attached (pulling the support brackets)? Truck ('93 D-250 with #60k) is low miles so trying to avoid pulling the pump and also wondered IF I can get by w/o timing the pump and simply lock the crankshaft and the governor shaft and still maintain timing? Just trying to make this as painless as possible. Especially after investing a day thus far trying to fix it with no solution. Thanks guys. boblanham1@comcast.net
