Hey Ice birds....
I went to Cummins the other day asking about an oil pan heater and because our oil pans don't have a threaded hole on the side we can't get a threaded element that just screws in....BUT what they did give me was a cool little unit called a "Hot Pad", which is a flat square piece of a rubberry kinda plastic that has that 3M peel and stick thingy on it. They say it works really well and I'm gonna be putting it on this weekend. If anyone else in the "Cold Country" is interested, it's made by fleetguard and the PN# is:
3841710
It always kinda bugged me i figgure vehicles should have oil pan heaters especially in the cold climates alot of us see. Probably takes a LONG time for the heat to transfer to the oil with just a block heater because of that damn heat rises theory...
