Tranny Replacement??????

So here's the story, The Getrag decides to grenade itself on the Interstate a few months back and I have been without a pickup since.

I don't think the tranny is worth rebuilding(I'm no expert but that is what friends who have looked at it say). I need the truck since I now live on a couple of acres and need to move my horse from Colorado to Wyoming.

So what are the best options? Money is tight since I just bought a new home.

Is there a good place to pickup a used Getrag? and is it even worth it?

Do I use another tranny? and if so which one?

I use this truck for Wheelin and odds and ends around the property(ie Horse Trailer, Hay, And moving a tractor around)
