FSM questions & Vac/Pwr steering pump R&R

I have recently pulled the started and vacuum pump/power steering pump (twice). I replaced a vacuum canister once and currently PM on the steering pump. Clicker fixer on the starter. On both of these the FSM gave the wrong bolt size for tools needed. Is this common with our FSM? I'm fairly sure these were bolts that were not swapped out by the previous owner, it was a one owner truck too.

Also, does anyone have any tips on removal/installing the vac/steering pump unit? What a pain in the rear! I chopped a wrench to make things easier this time! I am concerned about getting things tightened so they don't vibrate out eventually. Loctite?
