Trans options

Ok, so i'm 95% that I'm going to pick up a '90 CTD, and I was just wondering what performance upgrades people are doing to these transmissions. I noticed that DTT offers a converter but No VB. Also what about bands and clutches and that stuff. I'm correct in assuming this is a 46RH right? Would I be better off to just replace it with a 47rh, Thanks Sean.
