*386* Gov Spring

I just pulled a 386 governor spring. I have no idea what it is. Possibly a 2600 rpm unit as that is all the faster it would rev with the governor screw removed and throttle at full tilt

It's from a 1990 model Ram. All original VE pump. *ALL* original, vergin pump.

It CLEARLY is printed *386*. I also have a 388 and some others

Any ideas what it's doing in there?
