Question Brake light switch mount

I came home yesterday and the 93 had brake lights shining brightly, problem is that there was nobody home. I ran it in the garage and took the switch out, actually, it had been wire tied in and all I had to do was cut the wire tie. The bracket was bent as well. I straightened the bracket so the switch hit the pedal arm, then tried to find a nut that would thread on to the switch to no avail. I pulled the spring loaded bushing out and bent the tabs so it would grip the switch and the bracket tighter. Is that all that is supposed to hold the switch in place? If so, does it come with a new switch or does Dodge still stock that part? I guess I could crawl under the dash of one of the other trucks to find out. If somebody can enlighten me, thanks! Glen
