Rear disc pad replacement question

I have the rear disc conversion on my 93, the calipers are from a 76-78 Cadillac Eldorado,Riviera, Toronado. my question is I need to replace the pads, how do I retract the pistons, do I disconnect the parking brake and wind them back in???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
