Lost some MPG... what do you think?
Well, I was up to a solid 16.8 mpg... then I made a couple changes.
So about 4 weeks ago I backed down on the star wheel one more turn (I'm at 2 turns total now) and shave .040 off the plastic washer... wasn't able to get a solid fuel mileage check because I was screwing around watching how much smoke I could get her to do
Then I straight piped it.... and now that I've settled down enough to check my mileage, I'm down to 14.8 mpg. The last tank I'm sure that I drove it fairly reasonable and mostly highway.
The first time that I made some adjustments to the AFC there was either no change or a slight improvement in mpg.
So do you think that straight piping could have hurt the fuel mileage?
Based on others adjustments to the AFC, I really don't think I'm adjusted too aggressively, but maybe that was one turn too much? I only smoke (other than the normal haze from the POD's) under low boost and full throttle...
