Best VE rebuild?

I went through the 114 (1990 model pump), and installed it on the 92, and while it is a slight improvement over the original 205 on there, I am still not happy with it. The last rebuild I got locally started to decline after 8 mo or so. I was going to pull it and take it back, but sold the truck befroe I could get to it. They kinda shied away fro replacing all the springs, etc unless they were broke- just wanted to do seals and reflow it. I noticed upon reassembly that the pum pI refreshed had some definite slack inside. So, besides the big name outfits in the links section, who else has had good work done by a shop they know of? MMiller? Bill? I want to keep it under $750 if possible, but that also depends on what needed done. All the springs and possibly DVs will get done.
