Help me spend money on gauges!

After looking through the FAQs, it looks like I need a tach, EGT, boost, tranny and water temps. What about pyro (or is this the same as EGT or boost, a little confused on that)? And, I need a little gauge OJT.

Since I can't find any three mount pillars/pods, I assume I can buy a 1- and a 2-gauge pods and fit them on my pillar? I think I'll put EGT, boost, and pyro on the pillar and then put the two aforementioned temp gauges in an overhead pod.

I'd like to get a tach gauge bigger than 2 1/6" (closer to 5" if possible), something like this...


And mount it on the left-hand side of my dash. What should my rpm range be?

For these gauges, should I get electrical or mechanical sending units?

I'd like to stick with black gauge faces and bezels because eventually I'd like to make most of my interior dark gray with red accents to match my exterior (when i get that done).
