Stuck rear axles.

alrighty, im trying to clean and adjust the rear brakes but my axles seem suck on. i have taken all of the axle nuts off and beat the hell out of it with a copper hammer to no avail (both sides!) what should i do? i was thinking about taking off the diff cover and prying against the axles in the spider gears but i dodnt want to remove that cross-over brake line. also, my axles have these weird washer looking things that i havent seen on any other truck. ill get some pics later.
