bleeding the clutch/1st gen

is there any way to get the air out without a bleeder valve?? we are now down to 1/2 inch play on the 92 4w/d with anv 4500... but its like we have slack in the linkage under the dash , or air still in the line.... 1/2 inch till we engage the plunger.... please send help.....s.o.s. .........monte
