I just needed to share with you guys!
Some of you might know...Colorado got socked by a Major Snow storm of the last two days. Lots of snow! 24" inches at our place and a couple of 4' drifts...Fun stuff.
I ventured out this afternoon in my CTD W-350. Mind you, it hasn't had a front d-shaft in it for a couple of years until today. Just hasn't needed it. I put the d-shaft in...on the wet driveway...after getting it stuck at the bottom of my OWN driveway...Anyway. Went to pickup a few munchies at the Corner Store.
My '93 is awesome! Forgot how cool a 4x4 dually is. I went to park near the store and in front of me is a plow truck in what appears to be a precarious situation. I'm thinking...3/4 ton 4x4 FORD plow truck?, no way he's stuck. I got out and asked if my truck would be o.k. parked there for a few minutes... The guys(who were shoveling frantically) looked at me and said o.k. Me and my big mouth...I had to ask..."You're not stuck, are you?". The response was "Yes". We have been for an hour or two. A Big ole smile attached itself to my face and all of a sudden I said,"If you can find a strap(he didn't have one. What?), I'll pull you out." The guy says "REALLY? That would be great" . I flipped my truck around(well sort of, it's an Extra Cab, Dually...Not the best turn ratio), hooked up the strap, and simply pulled him out. My truck didn't even Flinch! I was looking out the front window and didn't even realize I WAS pulling his truck out. Got him out of there, got out and smiled

. He said "Thanks!...That truck is a Hoss!!"

I told him "No trouble" and went on my way.
Ahhh...Good times...I LOVE MY FIRST GEN 1 TON CTD DODGE!
I REALLY wish I had my digital camera with me. A picture is worth a thousand words! Just had to share!
Hope all of you Colorado Guys are o.k.!!
Andrew
