K&n Air filter sizes?

Hi,
I was given a k&n air filter (new) it has a 4 inch inside diameter (flange) which i needed once i put my hx35/12cm on my burban. My question is will it flow enough air for what i need. Here are the dimensions:5.375 diameter at the base and it is a cone shape that tapers to 4 inch dia at the top. The length of the whole filter is 7 inches long. The part number is RP-4970. It looks small to me compared to my other paper filter? Any ideas if this will work for my set up or not?
