Limited Slip under load?

I run Amsoil gear oil with their limited slip additive in my Dana 70, it works fine when running empty or up to about 14KGVW, but I was hauling a Dump trailer grossing out at right around 19KGVW, when I would turn it felt like the clutches in the limited slip where shuddering like they do if there is no additive? Does the load affect how much limited slip additive you need? Will allowing the limmited slip to shudder a little hurt anything?
