Help, Need Injector Tips Or Injectors

Dropped my old injectors off at the injection shop yesterday, today they say they are popping at 230bar and if they shim them to get 250 bar the spray pattern will be off, which i think is B.S. he wants $50 each for new tips and rebuild, is he full of crap?

which tips can i go with instead of stock?
or
can i get new injectors for around $300
