Pyrometer Install

I'm thinking about ordering a three gauge set from Diesel Injection Service (egt, boost and transmission temp).

When installing the pyrometer, how do you drill into the exhaust manifold so that you avoid metal chips going deeper into the manifold (and then blown through the turbo)?
