Fuel sender problems

Anyone know of a fix for erratic fuel gauge.
Replaced sender unit and still having problems, most times the gauge does not work, some times it registers fuel for a short period of time.
I just refuel when low fuel light comes on.
93 truck is the only one with this problem, both my 91.5 and 89 are fine.
Anyone having the same problem?
