Kevlar Pilot Bushing Install?
I'm needing to get the flywheel and clutch in today! Sunday. So. Bend Clutch is closed of coarse.
I had the flywheel machined to accept the Kevlar pilot bushing and it is a real tight fit. Is the bushing pressed in or is it an interferance fit. They have sent JB Weld to secure the bushing, but as tight of fit as it is, there is no way any JB will be left after pressing into fly wheel. The little woman has the oven going strong for Sunday dinner. Should I heat the flywheel and freeze the pilot for an interferance fit?? What temp. does kevlar melt??
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks, Stab
