differential update

Hey fellas, just a update on my differential. It seems that when this noise and shaking shift lever was happening going down the freeway, I assumed when I pushed in the clutch and everything was quiet, that the culprit was the tranny. Hence the NV 4500 setting on the bench to install. Now that the differential is rebuilt, will see how the Getrag fairs, will service with 5W30 Castrol Synthetic oil and go. The rear end was completely destroyed, but was lucky enough to have a guy that really knows and has a good rep rebuilding these. It took all new bearings as well as a new ring and pinion . I also elected to go with a new carrier with no posi as I don"t go off the road at all. Alot less moving parts. Cost was 650.00 including labor. Thanks fellas for the good advice. Will have it back soon.
