Buzzing Transfrer Case Shifter

How does a person stop the transfer case shifter from buzzing? How many people have trouble with this? I don't want a temporary fix. Does it require replacing the plastic shifter bushing or replacing the spring? Let me know what works. The buzzing is driving me crazy. (No duct tape answers please.)
