Torque converter is necesity!

For those of you with Automatics that are BOMBing a better torque converter should be up towards the top of your list, here's my story as posted in the products section and then I will make a few comments:

We were in Canada last weekend for a Poker Run with the boat, just after crossing the border started hearing strange sounds, got to the hotel and checked it out.... CRACKED FLEXPLATE
Have been wanting a DTT Torque converter so go to hotel lobby, borrow their computer, goto TDRlinks, get DTT's phone number, talk to Bill Kondolay decide to get 89% torque converter along with flex plate, get appointment for Monday AM,.
Truck fails completely on Sunday, have AAA tow the truck and boat to DTT on monday morning.
By the time the truck with us and the boat arrive at DTT our truck is on the rack and being worked on.
We were just going to hang out all day but Bill would hear nothing of it, gave me the keys to his personal truck and I took Vicki to lunch and shopping.
When we got back the truck was ready, Bill says hook it to your boat and let's go for a test drive, all I can say is WOW
Now I can get some of the power I've got to the ground, I think the converter made as much difference as the Powerwagon injectors.
Thanks again to all of Diesel Transmission Technologies employees for the great treatment and for getting us home on time.
It was a pleasure doing business with you.

I knew that a better converter would help but I am amazed at how much better it is. I don't have a Tach so I can't give you actual figures but the engine is turning quite a bit slower at speed than it did before, cruising down the highway is much quieter. I got on the freeway after coming back across the border put the truck in overdrive and didn't take it out until I was coming off the freeway near home, there are a few places in that trip I would have been slowed by the hills before so much that I would have taken the overdrive off, I can't believe how much power the stock converter was absorbing.
I can't speak for any other aftermarket converter but DTT's should definitly be on any BOMBers shopping list.
Sorry for the long post but I'm impressed.
Happy Rammin,
Caleb
