No Black Smoke

I finally got around to fooling with the smoke adj. screw and the full power screw(had already turned the fuel delivery rate pin 180 deg.) The change was impressive but from all the posts ive been looking at somewhere along the line I should have experienced some black smoke. I had light grey smoke before and still do both at start up and while accelerating . Good , Bad , turn some more ?
