another injector pump question

does the power screw bottom out? As I was tweaking my pump it felt like the screw bottomed out. The steel collar is long gone.I am about 1/4 turn out from what feels like a stop. Could this just be a boogered up thread or is their an internal stop? I am at 1 and 3/4 turns in from stock with 27 lbs boost and 1050 max egt before the turbo.
