Thumbs up Beat by A 2001

Snowracer 69 just got back from canada with his new DTT trany, HX40,edge comp5.5, and dd3 injectors.
He was smiling from ear to ear and asked if I wanted to go for a ride

Can't say no to that.

He locked it in 4wd and built about 20psi before letting off the brake and flooring it! WOW!!!!
It felt like it jumped about 60' then it setteled down and just accellerated past 100mph, it felt really smooth all the way up to me. Real fast!

He asked if I wanted to race my truck (big grin on his face)

Couldn't say no to that either.

We wen't back to get my truck and as we pulled out on 9th street we both came to a red light! I rolled down my pasenger window and he yelled, Is it warm enough? Well thats never stopped me before so I nodded yes so when the light turned green we smoked the whole nieborhood up!
I couldn't believe the whistle from the turbos! I let off at 65mph and got hard on the brakes. He had pulled two truck lenghts on me! I tucked in behind and we went out of town.
we went out by Adair and lined up side by side and he let me launch first about a truck length and past me before I got out of second gear! I was so rattled I missed my shift as he sprayed smoke in my open window I fought it into 3rd as I watched his tailgate dissappearing into the soot and distance!
We turned around and lined up again and this time I smoked my tires as he left me by about 5 truck lengths!

We stopped and talked it over for a while then went back to my place.
On the way back we both stopped at that same traffic light facing the other direction and I reached down and pulled it into 4wd! He was grinning again and I nodded yes so when the light turned green I launched hard and beat him but we were going so fast we went right past my street! Thats the first time i've tryed that on dry pavement
We turned around
Nothing broke .

Anyway I was really impressed with how much more power his truck makes but with less boost and smoke than mine!
I want a hx40!

Eric.
