Fan clutch confusion

DC is out to get me. Whenever I think I know what I'm doing, they change the part.

Went in to get a fan clutch for my 92 yesterday; not in stock, ordered it.

Went back today and they handed me a fan. We went back thru the computer and found the fan clutch part number superceded by a combination of a fan and a "module" of a different design than the fan + fan clutch.

I told them to order the module and then went to NAPA and bought the fan clutch there. I'll compare the two tomorrow at the dealer and update this.

I'll also give you guys the part number history - I got frustrated and left it at the dealer.

Has anyone been down this road before with the fan and "module"?
