Question Stack dilemma?

Hi fellas,

I seen some stacks I wanted at Muncie, I was going to get them, but A series of misfortunes and stuff meant I couldn't get them there. But I still will get them. It's the one with the square tube that bolts to the bed. The only problem I see is the crossmember is RIGHT in the way, so I decided, instead of having them really far back, or a lot of wierd pipe bending, the best way would be to just cut it where I need to and maybe have someone weld some support and use some u-bolts and bolt on both sides of the square tube at the hole, It looks pretty beefy. Any comments? I'm thinking it may work.

Thanks, Steve
